...was becoming a network that I'd consider watching.
Keith Olberman and Rachael Maddow are very intelligent, not afraid to ask the important questions, and assets to this country and critical thought. While they've made great strides and been able to present the news and critique the blatant lies and falsities spread by well-financed and powerful right wing campaigns - they've also argued on the side of reason and fair judgement - as opposed to fear and other emotional manipulations.
They've removed Olberman from his post covering the elections... on one hand, I can understand that he was not unbiased at times... that's not necessarily a bad thing. It's one thing to claim to be unbiased and then present a partisan view of the 'news.' it's another to be openly partisan and present facts grounded in reason, experience and sound judgment. In a world where the main stream media will only show stories about brittany spears' vma dress and other bullshit - why, when major news outfit starts down a path of discussing another side of politics on a national level, does it tend to get stifled by 'our corporate overlords?' Rachael's show starts on the 8th and I'm really looking forward to watching it - support the people that you can understand and respect. don't watch the rest of the crap.
look up the story on what happed to olberman at nytimes.com
