Crooks and Liars
Crooks and Liars
Just read this blog/site. It's great. No beating around the bush... Well, they do beat Bush around a little, but they're very up front about it.
Essentially, it's a collection of scavenged news articles/tv segments (Olberman, Daily Show, Colbert are my favs) that express a certain viewpoint - mainly pointing out hypocrisy, lies, and all out extortion.
It's amazing to watch Condoleeza Rice (sp) squirm when asked direct matter of fact questions about Iraq. It's then amusing to see her dodge them because she doesn't have specific information to answer - an all out lie... but I can understand - when you know all sorts of awful things your government is doing and you are involved with most of them - it's probably not a good idea to just shoot your mouth off in front of the whole country.
Similarly, watching Olberman criticize Bush point for point is almost funny enough to distract me from the fact that we have a president that can't, after 7 years, address a press conference with a pre-written speech without stumbling over at least half of the speech. It goes to show that he is the most puppet-like puppet of the elite ruling class that controls this administration and most of the ideology of the GOP. Oh, and all of the major media - henceforth, most of the 5-6-7-10 o'clock news watching public.
